What is Aesiran, you might ask? It is a fantasy world where dragons dwell in the wilderness, and the civilized races try to hone the beasts into deadly killers to serve in their armies. Do you wish to play a slayer of dragons? Or perhaps you want to try actually taming one of the magnificent beasts to ride into battle? This is Aesiran. Will you live long enough to tell the tale?
By now, you have no doubt realized that Aesiran is a roleplaying site. In fact, it is a roleplaying site that values good writing and creativity, we hope to draw in those who can make descriptive, interesting posts and write captivating stories. But is that truly all that there is to Aesiran? Of course not. We hope to offer a world with interesting lore, captivating races and, of course, terrifying dragons.
Before we delve into the actual setting, let's first look at something that other sites generally do not offer. Around here, you do not start out with an all-powerful dragon. It would certainly be convenient, but that is not something that is even remotely interesting. No, instead you earn gold and skill points while you roleplay on the site. Skill points can be spent to get skills that'll help you find and tame dragons, while gold is used to fund egg hunts and to pay for your dragons' training and food. Food you ask? Hunting for eggs, you say?
Aesiran has a fully programmed mini-game where your skills will help you out. Can you find the location of the dragon nests and bring back an egg to hatch, raise and nurture? Or will you be one of the many adventurers who gets maimed by an angry dragon?
Only one way to find out! Join up and try it out for yourself.
The world of Aesiran is not always a pleasant, comfortable place. Wild, savage dragons terrorize the countryside, eating cattle and burning cottages, but those are hardly the only threats the civilized folks face. Bandits and raiders have a strong influence on the outer regions of the world, away from the safety of the large cities and their glorious armies.
Strange monsters lurk in the darkest corners of Aesiran, every bit as vile and terrifying as the most savage of dragons. As if that was not enough, the races of Aesiran do not often see eye to eye. Many villagers have gone missing in the dark, cursed forests of the elven lands, never to return again.
Can you forge your own path in a world where magic can elevate a simple peasant into a hero and dragonslayers go down into history as legends?
If you do join say you were recruited by Wanderer in the 'Help us Grow' thread. ^^
