Going beyond the introductory thread

The Discovery thread is going along well, though it's starting to get a little crowded character-wise; I'm thinking of closing it off to others and letting it conclude between the people that are in the thread now.

So, what would you guys think would be a good idea for a new thread? The first idea that came to mind was that one group of characters setting up a sort of "base camp," while the other characters explore the landscape to see if there are any signs of life elsewhere.

I'd also like to know what you guys would think of an optional site-wide plot. Granted, I don't have any ideas for one so far, just curious if you think that would be something you'd like to take part in.

I like the base camp/ exploration idea.

Another idea might be that certain regions maintain some traits. Example: north of the base camp might be an ocean. With the flux, the ocean might be frozen one day, salt water the next, and glowing glass crystals the third.

Probably need to figure out what kind of creatures may pose a threat too. A dinosaur attacking a flying jelly fish... That kind of thing

Oh, and with players gaining control of some regions soon, that will provide areas for later players to explore if they want. (Random-Man's region will probably be a big city, with a spooky castle, and a touch of steam punk in for good measure.)

Ah, yes. That'll be fun. ^_^ I'm debating whether I should "cheat" and make an Influence for Eve or Taliat or just wait until the two have all their exp in line, mostly because I don't want to break my own rules. xD I have enough exp on this account to make an Influence for one of them, but I think I'd rather wait until one of you guys started up an Influence before making one for one of my own characters.
