I realize that I already introduced myself in the grand opening topic, but I think a slightly more "offical" introduction may help others get to know me a little better. ^_^
I've got a lot of internet handles, mostly because I sometimes sign up for things at the spur of the moment and make up names at the same time. My most widely-used handle, however, is Nephry. It's the second one I came up with, actually. My very first username was cjbookworm on Neopets, a combination of my initials and my love of reading. The name Nephry, however, comes from an NPC in Tales of the Abyss, which is one of my favorite video games.
My mother was the one to introduce me to video games, and my dad was the one that set that snowball rolling when he bought her an SNES for Valentine's Day. I remember when I was little, I watched her play Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and I used to run out of the room whenever she fought something because I was scared her character would die. I think I really pissed her off when I did that, though.
Eventually, we got into Pokemon. She would get Silver and I'd get Gold and we would catch the Pokemon the other game didn't have and trade accordingly. This is also how we got into anime: we stared with Sailor Moon and the Pokemon anime, then slowly spread out to Cardcaptor Sakura and Escaflowne.
Sooner or later, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon came out. Mom was always on Gamefaqs, completing rescues and hanging out with a certain group of people that helped to conduct these rescues. The group she was hanging out with were creating a private Pokemon RP, and invited mom to join. Soon after that, mom introduced me to that group and I was pulled into the fun pastime of role-playing.
And stuff snowballed from there. This introduction is already 4-5 paragraphs long, so I'll stop rambling. xD
In any case, it's nice to meet you all! My goal as the admin is to create a comfortable place for you guys to RP. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask me. I promise I won't bite.
