❧General Rules
❧In-Character Rules
❧On Activity
❧Account Per Player or Account Per Character?
❧Face Claims
≫ Respect the staff and their decisions. If there is something that you aren't pleased with, take it to the admin.
≫ Do not start drama. If you have a complaint about a member, take it to the staff.
≫ Do not spam.
≫ Do not post anything that would break the Proboards TOS (i.e porn)
≫ Mild swearing out of character is okay. If you overdo it, you'll be warned.
≫ Do not post in the RP area until your character has been accepted.
≫ Do not be afraid to contact the admin with any of your questions and concerns.
≫ Signature sizes are not to exceed 500 pixels in width by 200 pixels in height. This includes text.
❧In-Character Rules
≫ This is an intermediate+ RP. Do not use chatspeak. It is required that you have a good handle on the English language before you register.
≫ There is no minimum word count. Do not, however, use one-liner posts often; only once in a blue moon. Rule of thumb is that a paragraph reacting to the previous character's actions, then setting up a new action will do you well.
≫ This site has "liquid time," meaning that one can have their characters in many threads at once as long as they can keep track of the timeline.
≫ Mary Sues and Gary Stus (characters that steal the show and are 'perfect' in every way) will be asked to revise their profile.
≫ Do not godmod, powerplay or otherwise side-step RP limitations to make your own character all-powerful.
≫ No sex scenes. If your characters are just aching to go at each other, fade to black.
≫ Do not plagiarize.
≫ Do not kill other characters without the player's permission.
❧On Activity
≫ Once you are in a thread with somebody, please do you best to stay active. If you disappear for a week or two with no word, those in the thread have full right to move on without you.
≫ There will be periodic activity checks. Failing to respond to an activity check will not result in account deletion, but it will result in the admin sending you a friendly PM/e-mail/IM asking you if you'd still like to RP here.
❧Account Per Player or Account Per Character?
≫ Whatever works for you. If you do chose to create a new account for each character, there is a section of the profile in which you must state your OOC name and the other characters you play.
≫ If you choose to keep all characters on one account, link to your characters' profiles in your signature.
≫ If you choose to create a new account for each character, change your on-screen name to the character's first in last name, each properly capitalized. For example: Jane Doe instead of jane doe or JANE DOE
❧Face Claims
≫ Face claims (the images depicting your character) are optional.
≫ Face claims may be from pictures depicting actors or models, anime, manga, video games, or something you've drawn yourself.
≫ Try to stay away from fanart, or original art drawn by anyone other than yourself. As long as you can link to the source and have permission to use it (screenshot required), you may use that face claim.
≫ If you are an artist and some one is using your artwork without your permission, contact the staff and they will take the artwork down right away.
≫ Do not make a carbon copy of your face claim. That is, if you use Ash Ketchum's visage, don't make that character act like Ash Ketchum. We don't need a bunch of Bellas, Edwards, Jacobs, Narutos and Sephiroths running around.
